Bike Safety

There are cycling fatalities and injuries every year in Ontario, and the Provincial Corner concluded from a study (Cycling Death Review) done from 2006 to 2010 that all are preventable.

The 2019 cycling season is fast approaching, and Share the Road Cycling Coalition have some key considerations in short videos that cover the following important bike safety issues:

Give Space, Lighten Up – Give cyclists space while passing and staying visible through bike lighting

It Moves Us All– Sharing the road

Stay Safe Stay Back– Staying safe around trucks

Share the Road – We Are In This Together– Rural cycling safety from the Town of Blue Mountains

ABOUT US

Bike Niagara is a new community service organization, formed by a group of local Cycling enthusiasts interested in helping people get started on bike riding, promoting safe cycling and improving the capability of cyclists.

Bike Niagara was conceived in 2011, when four friends (Ted Higgins, Dave Hunt, Walt Berg and Gary Murphy) decided they wanted to create an organization dedicated to giving cycling advice to residents of the Niagara Region.
